UniFi 6 Lite is a 2x2 6 Wi-Fi access point that uses 5 GHz (MU-MIMO and OFDMA) and 2.4 GHz (MIMO) transmitters to provide a total transmission rate of up to 1.5 Gbps. Mount UniFi 6 Lite horizontally to the ceiling to cover a high-density environment or mount it vertically to the wall to increase range. The UniFi 6 Lite has a compact, nano-sized design so that it can be used with nanoHD mounting covers and accessories.
WLAN 802.11ac standard
The WLAN 802.11ac standard offers up to twice as much data as the old standards. On the one hand, this increase is achieved by expanding the transmission bandwidth. In addition, with 802.11ac, the number of parallel data streams (Multiple Input Multiple Output, or MIMO) can be increased to eight MIMO streams, while the 802.11n standard defines a maximum of four MIMO streams. Even large blocks of data such as videos and backups are no problem with this WLAN speed.
Standard Wi-Fi 802.11ax / WiFi-6
The 802.11ax standard is the new generation of the Wi-Fi standard, which has been continuously developed over the years and once again introduces an innovation with this version also known as Wi-Fi 6. The standard builds on the benefits of the 802.11ac standard and extends them with efficiency, flexibility and scalability. It enables higher speeds and capabilities for next-generation applications in both new and existing networks.
Support Multi-SSID
Multi-SSID allows you to operate multiple wireless network areas with different names and access rights. One possibility would be to set up separate network segments for each department or, for example, to operate Smart Home and IoT devices in separate areas. This means that visitors' smartphones already have no access to PCs containing confidential data on the network. If you are expanding your wireless network with additional access points, make sure that the new APs support at least as many SSIDs per wireless module as your WLAN router/controller.
Easy installation thanks to PoE
This network-enabled device is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) via the LAN cable. The main advantage of PoE is that you don't need a power cable. This allows you to install Ethernet-connected devices in hard-to-reach places or in places where many cables could interfere. You save installation costs and, if you wish, you can increase the reliability of connected devices by using a central uninterrupted power supply (UPS).
Ubiquiti Networks
Ubiquiti Networks is an American manufacturer of high-performance network components. the goal ofUbiquiti is to provide state-of-the-art, easy-to-deploy communication solutions for a global customer base. The company was founded in 2005 and initially manufactured WLAN adapters for PCs. Later, the range was extended by devices such as WLAN routers, especially for outdoor use. In the meantime, switches and surveillance cameras are also manufactured by the company. Products Ubiquiti usually convince with their superior performance, intelligent mechanical design and ease of use.
