Akuvox - Lifetime cloud subscription for a family/apartment up to 4 users.

Cloud access and subscription

Akuvox products can be used with or without a cloud. Access to the Akuvox cloud is through the SmartPlus smartphone app. For example, it will allow you to receive video calls, operate relays, generate temporary QR access codes, view visit history, trigger photo taking, etc.

If you purchase a video intercom and a screen from us at the same time, we offer you the cloud for life. Unlike the license you can purchase on our site, the version we offer does not include the possibility of making calls on fixed lines.

If you don't want a screen, you can choose to purchase a cloud license for a year or you can purchase a cloud license for life.

These licenses are valid for one residence/family, up to a total of 4 cloud users. Beyond 4 users, a subscription of 2 CHF per month will be required per additional user (for the 5th, 6th etc.).

Residence for a family (single-tenant mode)

In single-tenant mode, all Akuvox products declared in the family's cloud account can communicate together. For example, the different screens will be able to call each other and users of the SmartPlus app will be able to communicate with each other via the app. This is very practical when there is just one family, but it is something that we try to avoid when it comes to a building inhabited by several families (multi-tenant mode).

Residence for several families (multi-tenant mode)

In multi-tenant mode, Akuvox products are grouped by apartment. Only products located in the same apartment can be contacted, with the exception of the doorman located at the foot of the building, because it must of course be able to call each family.

In multi-tenant mode, you must have one cloud account per apartment. If each apartment is equipped with an Akuvox screen, we offer the cloud subscription (if purchased at the same time as the video doorman for the building).

Some examples

• House inhabited by a single family => only one cloud account needed.
• Building consisting of several apartments inhabited by a single family => if grandma lives in apartment 1 and grandma's children live in apartment 2, we can imagine that only one cloud account will be necessary, because the fact that the Akuvox screens and doormen of these 2 families can see and communicate together will not be a problem.
• Building composed of several apartments inhabited by several families => here, we want to separate each apartment. Akuvox products will then be grouped into as many cloud accounts as there are families.
