A patented optical chamber, dustproof and impenetrable to insects, an optical dual-spectrum sensor, and an exclusive HazeFlow 2 algorithm ensure speed and accuracy in fire detection: ultimate safety with no risk of false alarms.

Impenetrable to Dust and Insects

The optical chamber is designed to eliminate any possibility of contamination that could impair detection. Thanks to a unique circulation mechanism, the optical sensor has a clear field of view, allowing it to quickly identify combustion products present in the air.

Ignores Cooking Smoke and Water Vapor

The optical chamber is connected to a dual-spectrum sensor that uses blue and infrared LEDs with different wavelengths. It employs the most reliable real-time detection method, directly measuring the concentration of microparticles in the air. This technology allows the detector to determine the particle size inside the chamber and respond only to smoke, ignoring steam.

Responds Only to Real Threats

Extensive research into material combustion led to the development of HazeFlow 2, a smoke detection algorithm designed by Ajax. The algorithm simultaneously analyzes and compares the data from the optical dual-spectrum sensor with a specific model to distinguish smoke from steam or water. The detector instantly triggers an alarm when the characteristics indicate a real fire case.

Even in the Case of Smoke-Free Fires

FireProtect 2 is equipped with two A1R-class thermistors to detect smoke-free fires. They allow for the detection of a rapid temperature increase when synthetic materials burn or a fire starts from slow combustion. The thermistors are located outside the case to eliminate detection delays that can save lives. Thus, FireProtect 2 is ready to detect a fire as quickly as possible, even if it starts imperceptibly.

RB Version

Up to 7 years of operation with replaceable CR123A batteries. The detector signals low batteries at least 30 days before complete discharge. Installers and users receive notifications in their Ajax apps. Additionally, FireProtect 2 has an LED indicator and emits sound signals in case of low battery.
