The NorthQ electricity consumption meter is designed to read data from a traditional electromechanical or electronic meter equipped with an optical port.

The sensor is easy to install and ideal for measurement accuracy down to 0.1 kWh. Its compact size and wireless external transmitter make it very easy to install in any electrical panel.

The device is powered by the mains to provide measurements almost in real-time every 5 seconds. The system has internal memory, and it can even be used in a minimal configuration with a simple USB Z-Wave key connected to a PC, though not always operational.
