Carbon monoxide (CO) is an invisible and deadly danger in the home! It is toxic and can be particularly insidious. You can't see it and you can't smell it.
If you have a fireplace, gas heating or if you just want to improve the quality of air in your home to prevent headaches and discomfort, the CO sensor improves home safety and comfort.
The electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor by Popp is used to monitor air quality and warns if the CO level in a room exceeds a pre-defined limit. In case of alarm, the device will beep (85dB/3m) and sends an alert report together with the current measurement value to the Z-Wave control centre.
The built-in battery ensures a long life (10 years) without having to change the battery. Thanks to the built-in Z-Wave module, you can include the CO sensor in your home network and corresponding home automation system. It offers anti-tampering protection, an easy to reach test button for inhibition as well as a LED indicator for power, the alarm mode and error reports. The internal memory stores information concerning previous CO alarms.
In addition to the pre-set limits, you can also set your own limit values to trigger a notification, for example, on a smartphone to invite residents to open the windows to ventilate the room.
