The Imagintronix XH300XT sensor measures soil humidity and temperature and transmits the information to the weather station (not provided) via a proprietary protocol using the 433.92 MHz frequency. The RFXCOM home automation interface can pick up the information transmitted by the probe ("Imagintronix/Opus" protocol). This information can be exploited by a range of compatible home automation systems. You can add up to a total of 3 sensors to the probe.
The sensor is powered by 2 AAA batteries (not provided) and communicates the measurements to the weather station at regular intervals. The weather station will display the measurements received alternately on its screen. If you already have a sensor linked to the station, you will need to configure the address of each new sensor using a jumper. If this is not the case, then no other manipulation is required, once the batteries are inserted the data will be displayed on the screen.
