The RFP1000 radio interface connects all your wireless home automation devices that operate using Somfy RTS, Delta Dore X2D, Visonic, Chacon/DiO and other protocols

RFP1000, multiprotocol USB key for a home that truly communicates

The RFP1000 interface is a home automation gateway compatible with a wide range of different protocols:

  • SOMFY RTS (shutters, gates)
  • DELTADORE X2D (alarm, heating, home automation)
  • VISONIC (alarm)
  • CHACON/DIO (home automation)
  • SCIENTIFIC OREGON (weather station devices)
  • Complete list available on www.rfplayer.com

The RFP1000 interface is bidirectional and also emits whilst simultaneously receiving on 433MHz and 868MHz radio frequencies. Plug the USB into a compatible system and it will serve as a gateway to communicate (both transmission and reception) with all compatible sensors.

It offers the most sophisticated systems to ensure maximal performance: OSD (One Stage Decoder), LBT (Listen Before Talk), SAW filters (Surface Acoustic Wave) providing high levels of immunity to interference.

The RFP1000 can also handle unknown protocols:

  • It knows how to cooperate with the open source community through its RFLINK compatible interface. RFPlayer records the unknown radio frames that are then sent to the RFLINK software for analysis in the home automation hub. Conversely, RFP1000 knows how to transmit radio frames generated by the RFLINK software.
  • Thanks to its PARROT function!

RFPlayer can exploit unknown protocols through its "PARROT" function

If you teach it, PARROT can memorise 433MHz and 868MHz radio frequencies with great precision. It just needs to listen. It has a "phonetic" understanding of radio frames.

Thereafter, it will be able to:

  • recognize them in real time whenever they appear on the airwaves, particularly useful information for a home automation HUB,
  • and retransmit them when the home automation HUB considers it opportune.

PARROT adapts to the unknown.

RFPlayer repeats radio frames through its "Repeater" function

Home automation transmissions are subject to problems caused by range. This is due to:

  • a phenomena known as "fading" that can occur even when placed relatively close to the signal transmitter or receiver,
  • the intrinsic weakening of the signal with increasing distance.

The RFP1000 plugs into a 220V-USB standalone power source to ensure its function as a repeater, it will thus re-amplify the signal and at the same time drastically reduce the probability of fading. The range is therefore greatly increased and radiofrequency exchanges become very much more reliable.

This is smart repetition:

  • the frames are recognized and reshaped,
  • RFPlayer waits for the ideal moment to retransmit the signal to prevent radio frequency collision.

And PARROT can contribute to this repetition, which is after all the very least one can ask of any parrot!

The PARROT function cannot be used for protocols with rolling codes.

RFPlayer acts as a home automation interpreter thanks to its Transcoder function

The TRANSCODER function enables the repeater to convert on-the-fly frames from one protocol to another output protocol, including those memorised by the PARROT.

An inexpensive remote control with a wide range of channels can replace several more expensive remotes with fewer channels from another manufacturer... A closed home automation box (without a USB port) can extend the field of protocols covered...

An alarm is able to take into account previously inaccessible information... Everyone gains extra connectivity.

RFPLAYER is compatible with ZiHome and many other home automation solutions

The first ZiKey available from the ZiBlue company, the RFPlayer works perfectly with ZiHome. A free and open home automation solution that can be deployed on any Android system, on a Raspberry Pi...

It is also compatible with the popular home automation controllers featuring USB ports, such as eedomus box, Vera and Vera Lite Edge, Jeedom solutionsn etc.
Finally, the RFPlayer is compatible with open home automation software: Domoticz, Domogik, Node-Red, and many others!

The RFP1000 comes with two antennae and a USB cable. Multiplatform software configuration/setup will be available for download from www.rfplayer.com
