Z-Wave technology allows the creation of a wireless mesh network. This technology can thus be widely used for wireless control and monitoring applications. The mesh network provides highly reliable communication as well as extended scope.

This Z-Wave extension allows the Zipabox to communicate with all Z-Wave and Z-Wave Plus compatible devices and to include them in a unified house automation network. Today Z-Wave has a very wide range of compatible peripherals by many different brands.

The Z-Wave module can be plugged on the Zipabox extension connector (Slot 2).
